Anisa Keith

Sustainable Business Committee

CBSAC/NY’s featured volunteer, Anisa Keith, co-founded the Sustainable Business Committee (SBC) and its flagship certificate series on green business, Making Green From Green. The series is one of the most popular Club offerings (with over 1,400 attendees to date) and establishes CBSAC/NY as a destination for green business events.  Moreover, SBC event attendance has exceeded club averages by 200%. Due to the success of the SBC, Anisa’s innovations now serve as the new model for CBSAC/NY’s committee development and marketing outreach.

Anisa is an independent consultant providing financial advisory and business strategy to a variety of firms in the financial services, technology and non-profit sectors. In this capacity, she advises on fund raising, market-entry strategy and implementation. Prior to that, Anisa worked as the COO and head of business development at an architecture and design firm where she launched the firm's international business, winning key contracts in the UAE and Qatar.

She began her work life as an analyst at Booz, Allen & Hamilton shortly after receiving her BSBA from Georgetown University. Following completion of her MBA at Columbia Business School, she spent several years in asset management as an equity analyst and sector fund manager at TIAA-CREF where she managed a $125M sector portfolio and was responsible for $750M in retail industry investments across the fund's equity portfolios.

Anisa currently resides in Harlem. She is originally from Tacoma, Washington.
